Oxford Film Fest News...

The Oxford Park Commission has purchased an inflatable outdoor screen and will be hosting family-friendly films on four Fridays throughout the summer.

June 4 The Blind Side

@ Avent Park


June 18 The Goonies

@ Avent Park


July 16 Kung Fu Panda

@ Bailey Branch Park (across from FNC offices on Office Park Dr.)


July 30 Field of Dreams

@ FNC Sports Complex

Movies start at dusk.

Live music starts at 6:pm.

Bring blankets/chairs/bug spray, etc.

Festival co-director Micah Ginn (of UM Media and Documentary Projects) will talk about how to protect and convert your home movies to DVD, no matter what format they are in (8mm, VHS, Beta, etc.).

He will display footage from some of the home movies he has restored, demonstrating the techniques used for various formats, and will take questions about preservation and transfer.
