Our friend Sarah from the Harbin Institute sent me these photos of the great snow storm in China, just days before the earthquake that struck northwestern China back in April.  It is truly terrible to think of earthquake victims forced outside in this mess.  It's a big country but I believe it was even colder in Qinghai province.
